Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the DecodeHer Android application ("App") operated by Raghul Babu ("we", "us", or "our"). By downloading or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use DecodeHer. By using the App, you confirm that you meet this requirement. We reserve the right to terminate accounts of users found to be under 18.

2. Your Account

DecodeHer uses Google Sign-In via Firebase Authentication. By signing in, you authorise us to access the basic Google profile information described in our Privacy Policy.

• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your Google account.
• You may not share your account with others or use another person's account.
• Each Google account may hold one DecodeHer account.

3. Subscription Plans & Billing

3.1 Available Plans

Prices are in EUR and may vary by region as determined by Google Play.

3.2 Billing & Renewal

• Subscriptions are billed monthly through Google Play Billing and managed by RevenueCat.
• Your subscription renews automatically at the end of each billing period unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the renewal date.
• Google Play will charge your payment method on file at the start of each billing period.

3.3 Cancellation

• You may cancel at any time through your Google Play subscription settings.
• Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid period. You retain access to paid features until then.
• Cancelling a subscription does not delete your account or local data.

3.4 Refunds

• We do not offer refunds for partially used subscription periods.
• Refund requests for technical issues may be submitted to contact@pvfreund.com and are handled at our discretion.
• Google Play's standard refund policy applies to all purchases. You may request a refund from Google directly within the eligible window.

3.5 Plan Limits

Daily decode limits reset at midnight UTC. Limits are enforced both in the app and on our backend. Reaching your daily limit will prevent further decodes until the reset.

4. Acceptable Use

DecodeHer is designed to help you understand communication and build healthier relationships. You agree to use it only for lawful, personal purposes.

4.1 You may not use the App to:

• Harass, stalk, manipulate, or harm any individual.
• Process messages or content belonging to others without their knowledge or consent.
• Attempt to circumvent tier limits, authentication, or rate limiting.
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or extract proprietary elements of the App.
• Use the App for any commercial purpose without our prior written consent.
• Upload content that is illegal, abusive, threatening, or violates any third-party rights.

5. AI-Generated Content

• Translations, tone analysis, watch-for warnings, and reply suggestions are generated by AI and are provided for informational and entertainment purposes only.
• AI output may be inaccurate, incomplete, or not applicable to your specific situation. Do not rely on it as professional relationship, psychological, or legal advice.
• We make no warranty that AI output accurately reflects the intent or feelings of any individual.
• You are solely responsible for how you use AI-generated suggestions in your relationships and communications.

6. Intellectual Property

• The DecodeHer name, logo, app design, and all original content are owned by us and protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
• You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes.
• You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from any part of the App without our written permission.

7. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the App at any time, without notice, if we believe you have violated these Terms or if continued access would harm other users or the integrity of the service.

You may terminate your account at any time by deleting it via the App or by following the steps on our Delete Account page. Termination does not entitle you to a refund of any remaining subscription period.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without any warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

• We do not guarantee that the App will be available at all times, error-free, or free from interruptions.
• We are not responsible for disruptions caused by third-party services (Firebase, RevenueCat, Anthropic, Google).

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from:

• Your use of or inability to use the App.
• Actions you take based on AI-generated content.
• Loss of data, including loss of locally stored conversations due to device failure or app deletion.
• Unauthorised access to your device or account.

Our total liability to you for any claim arising under these Terms shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the App shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of India.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms. If you do not agree with the updated Terms, you should stop using the App and delete your account.
